Energy policy

Aim

Our primary aim governing our consumption of energy is to consume a minimum amount of energy required to conduct business safely, effectively and comfortably and so help protect the natural environment.

Scope

This energy policy refers to the supply of Electricity, Gas and water on all our premises and also fuel for all vehicles.

Value for money

In order to obtain the best value for money from our energy suppliers we will hold an annual review of our energy supplier and other suppliers to determine the best value for money. In order to avoid lengthy discusions with any one supplier this will be done once a year only. Our sources will include OFGEM, independent energy advice and suppliers themselves. Any supplier wishing to be explicitly considered in the review should put details in writing to the address below specifying the information required, also given below.

Contracts

We are not averse to signing up to contracts.

Ethics

The ethical nature of suppliers will also be taken into account when choosing a supplier for the supply of energy.

And rates should be quoted in pence per unit. Day rate and night rate where applicable. Details of any discounts should be given separately together with methods of payment. It should be clearly stated where VAT is payable and at what rate. Details of any contracts should also be made clear.
