Donations Asking for donations in lieu of flowers You may want to ask for flowers from family only and suggest that other mourners make donations to a nominated charity or charities. We can also arrange for a collection at the church or crematorium. Whichever charity you choose we can collect donations for you. We will keep records of all those who contribute for your information. To increase the value of the donations we can also pass on Gift Aid declarations to the charity so that they may claim back tax from the Inland Revenue. We have a special bank account for donations which we use to collect and then distribute the donations after we have stopped receiving donations. Making a donation Please make cheques payable to L.W.Clutterbuck, Funeral Director. We will then pay them in to our charities account and will pay the charity(ies) in one lump sum. Donations can be received for up to 6 months after the funeral. You can also make a donation direct to our bank account using internet banking or
similar facility using the deceased’s name as a reference. Our sort code is 08- You can use a Gift Aid declaration if you are a tax payer so that the charity in question can claim back some tax from the Inland Revenue. You can get more information on Gift Aid from the Inland Revenue website. |
