Newspaper Announcements We can help you compose a relevant death announcement with you. Our local newspapers are the Gazette, the Citizen, the Western Daily Press and the
Stroud News and Journal and Stroud Life. Each have slightly different readerships.
We can also arrange announcements in any national or newspaper local to another region
- We can also arrange to take the names of people who attend the funeral service. This can either be used for your own purposes or for publication in a newspaper afterwards as an obituary. A death announcement usually covers three main pieces of information: 1. The facts surrounding the death; 2. Announcing the funeral service; and 3. Giving arrangements for flowers or donations. You might also choose to add a personal sentiment and/or instructions on attire etc. We don’t put the house number for security reasons. A typical announcement might read: SMITH, Harold of The Street, Cam, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2009
aged 89 years. Funeral service to be held at St Bartholomew's Church, Lower Cam,
followed by cremation at Gloucester Crematorium. Family flowers only by request,
donations in lieu if desired, for Cancer Research UK should be made payable to L.W.Clutterbuck
Ltd, Funeral Director and sent to 24-
