Imperial
Dissolve 4-6 ozs in a 2 gallon watering can and apply to 10 sq. yards using a fine rose
Dissolve 8-10 ozs. In a 2 gallon watering can and apply to 7-8 sq. yds. using a fine rose.
Dissolve 1 lb in a 2 gallon watering can and apply to 5-6 sq. yds. Using a fine rose. Ground so treated must not be planted for 6 months.
Metric
Use 135g in 10 litres of water over 10 sq metres.
Use 135g in 5 litres of water over 10 sq metres.
For deep-rooted weeds use 270g in 5 litres of water over 5 sq metres

  • Apply to moist soil when weeds are actively growing. Do not apply before heavy rain.
  • Sodium chlorate is non-selective and should be kept away from lawn edges, shrubs and trees, planted beds etc.
  • Treated ground must not be planted for at least 6 months after treatment.
  • It is preferable to keep the watering can used for application exclusively for Sodium Chlorate. If this is not practical ensure the can used is thoroughly cleansed.

WARNING: KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND ANIMALS

  • Wash hands and exposed skin after use. Do not eat or drink when using.
  • If you feel unwell seek medical advice.
  • Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use.

  • Avoid contact with acids and combustible materials.
  • Keep away from heat, naked flames and sparks. Do not smoke when using.
  • Do not store on wooden floors. Store in a cool dry place. Mark any containers used to store excess clearly. Do not contaminate surface waters or ditches with chemical or used containers.
  • In case of spillage burn contaminated materials.
  • Not to be sold to persons under 18.
  • IN CASE OF FIRE DOUSE WITH WATER.
